Danielle Hinton

Danielle Hinton is an inspiring figure in her community, known for her dedication and leadership as the owner of Emerging Light Reentry and Transitional Housing Program, located in Baltimore, Maryland. This program plays a crucial role in supporting individuals who are transitioning back into society, providing them with the resources and guidance they need to rebuild their lives. Growing up on the Westside of Baltimore, Danielle has a deep-rooted connection to the community she serves. Her upbringing in this vibrant yet challenging environment has shaped her understanding of the struggles many face, motivating her to create a positive impact through her work.

Danielle holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Information Management, which has equipped her with valuable knowledge about the healthcare system and its importance in supporting vulnerable populations. This academic background, combined with her personal experiences, has fueled her passion for social justice and community service. Her commitment to helping others is evident in her holistic approach to the services offered at Emerging Light, where she focuses not just on housing, but also on emotional and physical well-being. In addition to her professional endeavors, Danielle is a devoted mother of two—an energetic boy and a spirited girl. Balancing her career with motherhood, she serves as a role model for her children, teaching them the values of compassion, resilience, and hard work.

Currently, Danielle is furthering her education at the Seton Hall University Law School, where she is pursuing a degree in Criminal Law. This decision reflects her unwavering commitment to advocating for those who are often marginalized within the justice system. By gaining a deeper understanding of criminal law, she aims to enhance her ability to support individuals who are navigating the complexities of reentry after incarceration. Danielle's journey is a testament to her resilience and determination to create a brighter future for herself, her family, and her community. Through her work and ongoing education, she continues to empower others, ensuring that they too have the opportunity to transform their lives and contribute positively to society.
